Jeannette Srinivasan (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist from San Antonio, Texas, currently based in L.A.

As as first-generation American from both Mexican and Indian parents, she found her route to the arts through watching from the outside at school productions, wishing to partake in something her shyness and fear would only dream of pursuing. Balancing academics and conflicting backgrounds, she work her way through by the kindness of mentors and teachers who gave her opportunities their heart took no beats to take.

Now, a graduate of CalArts as an Acting major and Double minor in Creative Writing and Digital Arts (2023), she has found a focus in using her identity and mental health as a catalyst for a hopeful future in the industry and in non-profit work in the arts, as that’s how she was able to be introduced to the likes of Shakespeare and Chekov.

Their most recent original work, “Tsipekua”, was seen taking over CalArts during Day of the Dead, in collaboration with fellow Latin Artists. Prior to that, their play, “yellow/blue”, a story based on her personal experience of being a “twinless twin” was seen this past Summer at the Hollywood Fringe Festival as a scholarship-winning production. They recently understudied for CNP's World Premiere of “Scene with Cranes” at REDCAT. CalArts Theater School productions include I Want a Country, The Water Station, and The Romeo and Juliet Experience.
